NAMA Anual Conference
At the Heart of Mathematics – passion and pedagogy
1 – 3 March 2012
Conference Aston
Aston University
Birmingham
Your conference organisers have responded to feedback about the timing and cost of the annual conference, given that members appreciate a good quality venue with opportunities to network as well as attend organised sessions. The conference is slightly earlier in the year than usual to avoid overlapping with the Association of Teachers of Mathematics (ATM) and Mathematical Association (MA) Easter conferences. To avoid taking too much valuable earning time, the conference will run from 17.00 on Thursday 1 March and will end at 14.30 on Saturday 3 March. We are very pleased that cost of the full conference is reduced to £300, from the full £480 rate in 2011. The venue is the conference centre at Aston University. The centre is close to rail services and provides accommodation that rivals good quality hotels. Each of the modern en suite bedrooms has TV, tea and coffee making facilities, telephone and work space. There is free Wi-Fi. All of this is set in quiet landscaped grounds. To see more about the venue, visit the website. The conference promises to have an inspiring programme and represents excellent value for money. We shall look forward to seeing you there.
